Tortured Legion

When the Putrid Front descends on your village they say it is best to die by the sword than to be taken prisoner, else you become one of the Tortured Legion. Prisoners succumb to gruesome torture, which slowly drains all feeling from nerves and with it their humanity. Their broken bodies are drained of blood, embalmed and hollowed out, leaving only intestines which are cruelly turned into weapons. The Tortured Legion are placed on the front line as disposable yet frighteningly durable soldiers who march forward with soulless resolve. Most say its impossible that they are alive, while some believe there is still a piece of the men they once were remaining within the red glow of Iron Maiden clasped over their heads.
